Rich Cathers’ Library

- I began getting involved in ministry in the 1970’s. During that time I’ve served as a Youth Pastor, an Assistant Pastor, and a Senior Pastor. You can learn more about that here. Over the years I’ve studied, written, taught, and kept many of my notes.
- During much of that time, I also served as a worship leader, and I’ve written more than a few songs.
- This website is the archive of my years in ministry, both with Bible studies as well as music.
- I’m building this website not only for those who are serious about studying the Bible, but also as a record for my kids and grandkids.

Music
Here is the music I’ve written over the years
Check out my YouTube channel. I update it several times a week, sometimes with just minor tweaks, but sometimes uploading new content.
You will find sermons going back to the beginning of online video, as well as an entire section of “illustrations” – video clips I’ve used in many of my sermons.

I recently had the privilege of filling in for Pastor Bob Kopeny at Calvary Chapel of East Anaheim. I promised the church that I’d put my notes online for anyone who wanted to go deeper into the study. These notes will also be found in the “2Corinthians” section of my “New Testament” folder.
Study Title: “Sufficient” – 2Corinthians 12:1-10

Added “Search”
I finally figured out how to add a “search” function to the site. This will allow you to search everything on “richcathers.com”. You can find it in the menu at the top.
Updated Romans, 1&2Thessalonians
I’ve finished adding all my notes from the Calvary Chapel Bible College, including the books of Romans, and 1&2Thessalonians. Also found some miscellaneous studies from Romans as well.
Updated Jeremiah & Job
Found and added a series on Jeremiah from a class I taught at the Calvary Chapel Bible College (sorry, text only, no audio or video).
Also found a stray study (also from Jeremiah) that dates back to the days of Covid when we taught everything from the church office…
I also added a series on the book of Job from the Bible College and another “stray” study in Job around the same time.
Supporting Roles
I’ve started an eight-week class for the afternoon School of Discipleship (SOD) at Calvary Chapel East Anaheim. The class is called “Supporting Roles” and started January 11, 2026. The links to the videos and notes are here. I’ll update them each week as the class progresses.
What’s my class about? Being useful to God. Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t require you to be the big “star” in God’s production. In the movies, many a story is held together by those cast in the “supporting roles”.
We will be looking at eight different men and women, some you may not have heard of, but who were used by God to further His kingdom. These men and women may not have had their name in lights but were used by God all the same.
Our main text will be the Scriptures dealing with each character. As a supplement to the class, we will be reading “Second” by pastor L.E. Romaine.

Are you interested in learning to read through the Bible in a year? You might want to think about getting a copy of “Seven for Seven”. Each page contains the reading assignment for one day along with a short devotional pulled from 25 years of “Pastor to Person” writings for Calvary Chapel Fullerton.
Available only on Amazon. You can order here.
The book is available in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle versions.
It’s also available in Spanish here … (with Russian coming soon!).
